Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Struggle With.... Finances? The Illusion of Connection

When it comes to talking about money in regards to big names or public figures, everyone always assumes that these public figures have an unlimited amount because they compare these public figures to… THEMSELVES!

Well, I’m here to tell you not to compare locals (me and you) to public figures. Compare public figures to other public figures because they operate on a different scale than us.

What’s interesting about my favorite controversial ex-royals, Meghan Markle & Prince Harry, is that they seem to have 90 different job titles and yet no one knows exactly what they do besides show up in heavy coats in 80 degree New York weather and take photos at events that you wouldn’t associate them with.

The hot gossip as of late that has been going around nowadays is that Meghan & Harry are not doing so well with money. My source alleges that they don’t pay their staff and that they’re “drowning in debt.”

Is this another Ellen Degeneres situation? Speaking of Ellen… I feel like her scandal truly fell off despite the horrors that were exposed about her. Fear not, there’s a whole post that you can check out about Ellen down below.

Back to Meghan & Harry.

In debt after the birthday campaign?

Let’s go back in time and talk about Meghan’s uneventful 40x40 birthday campaign. If you don’t know what went on with that, check out my video on that topic:

As I said in the video, Meghan wanted the birthday campaign to be bigger than it was. She wanted it to be a huge event and something that wasn’t a…. flop. I’ve touched upon this campaign in this post.

Her team sent out a bunch of birthday merch to celebrities, but many of the celebrities supposedly did not cooperate. My source tells me that her team sent the birthday merch to the likes of Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Nicole Kidman, Lady Gaga, Stella McCartney, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston, and Jennifer Garner. Other high-profile women included Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie.

And yet… nobody supported her campaign or posted about it the way celebrities sometimes post about PR packages that they receive.

Turns out that supposedly, she had so much merchandise made from that campaign, it didn’t actually sell and the company that created the merch wants an ROI — a return of investment.

This is information that was popularized on the royal.archeholes Instagram account, but my source elaborated on it for me.

She sent it to everyone in Hollywood hoping that they would wear it and compliment her for a pathetic initiative that doesn’t even make any sense. My friend says that they’re running through money like water. Half of the things are Meghan’s ideas and she always convinced Harry that her scheme ‘plans’ will pay off.

The TIME Magazine Cover

If you guys don’t actively follow up with Meghan & Harry like a certain portion of my readers don’t, then you don’t know the drama that erupted after Meghan & Harry graced the cover of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People list.

That photo is just so… off.

This is also something that I covered on my youtube channel:

Now what I wanted to talk about is… the rumors that they dropped $1.5 million to get the slot.

As we all know, money goes a long way everywhere, especially in Hollywood. Sometimes, you have to give the illusion that you have more than you actually do. This is something that the Kardashians & Jenners have perfected. Don’t get me wrong, they do have a sh!t ton of money, but sometimes it’s not as much as the media tells us. Remember that whole Forbes scandal with Kylie not being a billionaire?

According to one of my other sources, Forbes and the Kardashian/Jenner clan “work” together. They publish what the clan wants out there. Some of that information came to bite Forbes in the ass because it ruined their reputation and suddenly they’re not deemed as trustworthy on this topic as they led us to believe.

The same thing happens with Time Magazine’s List.

Anyone that has followed up with Meghan and Harry since their departure from the royal family, knows that these 2 aren’t influential in the slightest. Interesting? Of course! Scandalous? For sure! Drama filled? Sign me up!

But influential? No… they haven’t done anything to make anyone do something. The only influence they have is the influence of changing the royal family’s image and even then, they’re not even doing a grand job at that.

So if Meghan & Harry or their associates approach Time with the proposition of dropping $1.5 million on securing a spot, Time magazine will be like “well who’s gonna deny $1.5 million and if they can just DROP that money on a SLOT, then surely they may be influential in their own way!”

That’s how I would assume the conversation would go because these lists in Hollywood and in the industry are all fueled by money and connections. I mean everything is, but in this specific example, it’s the only factor honestly.

I’m not saying that it’s a confirmed fact that they dropped 1.5 mill on the cover and my sources forwarded me the invoice receipts, but based on my humble opinion and factual knowledge about how these things work, it seems like they did do something extra to get the slot.

It’s kind of like when an upcoming artist wins Best New Artist at an award show and they only won because their team bought the award. In buying the award, the artist gets exposure, and that exposure will make the money in the long run. Aka…. a return of investment.

Now the question is, are Meghan & Harry worth investing in?

Discuss.

The Illusion of Connections

Honestly, I should make a whole post discussing different illusions in Hollywood and how it benefits the subject while making the consumer fall right into their trap.

In September, Harry and Meghan were seen all over New York doing god knows what with god knows who. They were just showing up for photo ops and then leaving shortly after.

They were dressed in what you would describe a #power #couple to look like despite the 80+ degree weather at the time.

I live in New York and lemme tell you something… these wool coats don’t come out until the end of November.

Anyways, from the outside looking in, it really seemed like they have it all together, but the truth is… they don’t.

They aren’t connecting with the people they WANT to connect with and therefore they have to connect with other brands and organizations that are not memorable by ANY means. Why? The illusion of connection.

And with this illusion, it can open the doors that they want to open. It’s basically faking it till you make it.

For example, The Met Gala is one of the most prestigious events of the year. Celebrities and influencers from all around thank God when they finally get an invitation. Lately, Anna Wintour has allowed more locals to attend and this has to do with a bunch of different factors that I’ll talk about in a separate Met Gala post.

Leading up to the Met Gala, all the media could talk about was whether or not Meghan and Harry were gonna attend. Just like the Obama’s birthday bash, it was brushed off as a “ugh we’re so busy we can’t make it <3 thanks tho” when in reality… the invitation was never sent baby girl.

Now if you got personal beef with Anna Wintour, you can scream from here until 2025, you’re not getting in. Sorry, Khloe Kardashian.

According to my source and word that goes around behind the scenes, Anna favors the actual royal family over disgraced royals such as Meghan & Harry.

She’d rather have Prince William and Kate Middleton attend over Meghan & Harry.

So this information just adds onto what we discussed in the last Meghan & Harry post about how Hollywood is NOT welcoming them with open arms as they once believed.

Here are some messages between my source and I:

That’s all I have for you guys for today about Meghan and Harry. Comment down below what are your thoughts and hypothetically speaking, if you were on Meghan & Harry’s publicity team, how would YOU rebrand their image and have their illusions actually pay off?

Matt Sayles

A lot of you guys have messaged me saying you want more frequent updates on them so I’ll try my best to post when the drama is hot as opposed to when it has died down (I mean you can see the timestamps in the texts vs. when this post is going up).

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Comment down below your thoughts and questions. You can comment anonymously so take advantage of that. I will be reading and replying back ;)
