Stop trying to make Chris Evans and Selena Gomez happen... it's not going to happen!
The Selena Gomez and Chris Evans rumor has gone on long enough. It literally went viral several times on several different social media platforms and the crazy part is… it’s still going on the basis of nothing.
Did Selena and Chris ever date?
No. Selena and Chris Evans never dated. All those rumors and fake hints were done by very bored fans who can’t seem to be interested in Selena unless she’s attached to another male celebrity.
Selena and her team 100% enjoyed all the rumors and headlines. The theory randomly exploded and Selena’s team LOVES when her name is attached to any relevant topic. When this happens, they will milk it for however long.
Selena of course enjoyed the rumors because it gave her free publicity and made everyone go crazy by thinking she’s actually dating the Chris Evans. And honestly, I’d enjoy those rumors if they were for me too.
One of the very few things I know about Chris Evans is that he’s very low-key, private, and reserved. I’m not really sure he’d be into having a crazy high profile relationship the way Selena’s team would want.
The last thing he’s interested in is starting a relationship with Selena or any other mainstream popular singer. I’m pretty sure he heard of the rumors and just moved passed them. I’m guessing his type and what he’s into are very different from what Selena is into.
The rumors continued when Chris followed Selena on Instagram in September 2021. She never followed him back.
He’s probably like “Who’s Salina Gomes? Oh she’s cute *follow”
It was a funny and cute rumor, but my sources have said nothing actually happened.
My source actually tells me that her team is behind it if it’s in the press because they have journalists on their payroll.
And it’s one thing for a rumor to be viral or become a common belief because of fans, but it’s something completely different when it’s actively talked about in the mainstream media.
And the way the mainstream media is RIDING this rumor is almost solid proof that it’s being purposefully planted.
It’s also a rumor that gives them clicks so they keep feeding it. It’s a win-win. Selena’s team is like “let’s capitalize on this” and for the media, they’re gonna get the clicks from the hopeful and delusional fans.
This happens often when the mainstream media will feed into a story because it’s clickable and relevant. For example, they’re always talking about Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt getting back together and having kids.
Meanwhile… that will actually never happen… Jen doesn’t want to have kids nor does she want Brad in a serious relationship.
What do you guys think about Selena’s team keeping up the Chris and Selena narrative in the press?
I will say that this is a smart marketing tactic being done by Selena’s team. I mean it’s a little sad and pathetic, but it gives intrigue to Selena as a celebrity.
Is she secretly dating Chris?
Why is she crying about being single in therapy?
Is she with a woman?
The world may never know, but at least esmg readers will know.
