2023 Grammys Recap and Rant... fake celebrities, high tensions, and bad performances

On the topic of writing more posts that make me happy and reclaiming my blog, here’s a post that literally no one asked for but you will probably enjoy.

The 2023 Grammys were last night and not a lot of stars made noise except for a handful.

Let’s talk about my fave girlie, Taylor Swift.

I liked Taylor’s dress, she looked beautiful in midnight blue to commemorate her Midnights era. We can always count on Tay to be sentimental, but also annoying. Just my personal opinion, my veteran readers know I have a love/hate relationship with Taylor. Even my fellow Swiftie friends.

Aside from the same old boring makeup and hair that she does for every event, she has taken on an “award show” persona.

My definition? A Taylor personality that is specific to award shows or any important Hollywood event.

Now I may just be a hater but nothing annoys me more than her fake praise of Harry Styles whom I will get to shortly.

First of all, all the pop culture accounts were updating on every muscle Taylor moved.

And it really makes me draw one conclusion—our sweet Tay, has her award-show-mask on, and no not the covid masks we are all quite familiar with. But that fake extra grinny, extra smiley, extra supportive mask when girl… you know damn well you don’t give a f-ck.

It reminds me of Halsey and Taylor cheering on Selena Gomez’s sad 2019 AMA performance and screaming their guts out for what exactly?

For Taylor to ignore Selena the whole night and give her a speech about her reeking of alcohol and slurring all her words? For Halsey to literally not care except for the cute “girls supporting girls” fan cam that stans will make on social media?

That’s why I found Taylor’s extra niceness nauseating and fake.

Literally, the video of her dancing for Harry’s off-key-underwhelming performance while the majority of everyone was just sitting was embarrassing and very try-hard. Maybe not for the stans that are gonna be like “omg supportive queen” but for everyone else who hates the fake act.

Like girl sit down… he ain’t serving… and you are the only one swooning like that because there is a fat camera in front of you.

And she LOVES the narrative that she and Harry are supportive exes who are so friendly at the Grammys acting as if both of them weren’t the textbook definition of a FAKE RELATIONSHIP and they HATEDDD each other’s guts.

That failed PR sent Taylor into a 5 year spiral of I-hate-men-I-am-a-victim-look-what-you-made-me-do. Side note: do yall want a post exposing Haylor??

Listen, I’m not mad at it and I’m not mad at her. It’s just something I don’t like when celebrities do. Every celebrity does the usual “pose for a moment” fake act at events, it’s not their fault for being professional! But Taylor as per usual, overdoes it.

I know this for a fact because that’s something that all sources will say about her.

She was also making her rounds around the event… notice how she went up to Harry here at his table and is seen walking back to hers…

She was doing the most trying to be photographed with any new relevant artists.

She does it not because she’s actually friends with all these people but because it’s good press and she wants to soak it all up. And most celebrities find this behavior annoying and thirsty, but a lot of them are not richer than her nor selling as much as she is, so that gives her the confidence to do this… but for the select few who are… it’s weird.

And it was really giving Skinny-White-Girl Squad from 2015… where you knew these girls and Taylor aren’t friends, but she’s out here doing the most to avenge her old loser self from high school by having a clique and being that b!tch.

The exaggerated reactions knowing what’s gonna go viral on social media?

I mean she lives for it.

And the amount of paid PR articles I saw from E! News, People Magazine, and the cesspool for mainstream media that is in the back pocket of the celebrity is proof of that… fake being nice all night long so you can grab all the good press. It works!

Look at how many PR articles there are about Taylor & Harry and their literal fake relationship that was like what?? 2 months long??

Harry Styles is the same way. He’s that ultra professional dude who’s only looking out for himself which is why during the Darling movie drama that I completely blanked out on the name… he was ready to say PEACE and go. He does what’s good for Harry.

And candooling with Taylor and talking with her is good press.

Does he like her? No, not really, but everyone knows that Taylor is good press and it’s best to be on her good side than her bad because she got the TIME to plan for your revenge.

So that’s another thing about Harry, he’s ULTRA professional to do what’s best for him and he doesn’t let his emotions cloud his judgment.

The complete opposite of that is Justin Bieber who I have been reflecting on a lot, considering his career has reached peaks that no one has reached, but time after time again, he will always get the short end of the stick because he’s not a shark like Harry or Taylor.

Beyonce… she just made history by being the most decorated artist in Grammy history with 32 Grammy wins.

Now I love Beyonce. I think she’s an incredible artist, she’s an amazing performer, and she’s an icon in the industry for sure.

Do I like Renaissance? Not at all. The way I feel about Renaissance is the way I feel about Taylor’s Midnights… actually maybe Midnights is worse.

It’s just not my vibe. It’s iconic for Black culture because it blends post-1970s Black dance music styles and pays homage to the Black and queer pioneers of those genres. So culturally? Beautiful and definitely innovative.

But not to pull a Swiftie, it literally has a million writers, producers, and it samples/interpolates like a million different songs. So it just sounds all over the place to me. I love her self-titled and Lemonade and her music from a decade ago.

I will give credit where it’s due considering she’s a pioneer in her career and is still iconic decades later.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were there to show face. Ben looked like he wanted to die the entire night while JLO was in her element posing like a robot for the cameras.

As I told you in the post I did on them, Ben no longer craves attention. He’s old and tired. Jennifer still has the stamina of Kim Kardashian… she’s all here for the limelight and praise. She looked incredible as usual, but yeah… nothing else.

Let’s talk about the celebrities who made no noise OR DITCHED …

Camila Cabello… girl what are you wearing and why was your glam-bot video a mess?

Someone bring back Shawmila for drama… the way Shawn fell off… omg the Camila curse.

On a real note, Camila is weirdly nostalgic to me despite the fact that I never really liked her. The power that her Romance album has on me though… it may have been a flop worldwide but it was #1 in my heart.

Olivia Rodrigo… something about her beefing with Taylor just made me like her more. I’m joking, but she was pretty quiet at the Grammys.

Most fans noticed that her and Taylor barely interacted despite being 2 tables away.

Then another video came out of Taylor chatting up everyone around her (make those connections girl and grab them pics for good publicity) and you could faintly see Taylor & Olivia talking as Taylor makes her rounds.

But there’s definitely tension and this is something confirmed to me by multiple inside sources. Also, it’s your typical mean girl behavior when you go up to everyone, you take a million pictures, and then you start being cordial and short with someone who used to idolize you and whom you used to promote your albums.

Also, if by the grace of God, Taylor & Olivia took a picture by the bathroom or something, don’t come in here like “wELL yOu kNoW nOtHiNg” because no way I just spent the whole post talking about Taylor making her rounds with people she does not know for good publicity; for yall to potentially say that (not me and you guys feuding over something that didn’t happen yet omg)

Thoughts on Taylor and Olivia’s strained relationship?

Olivia and former ex-Swiftie Conan Gray (can i call them that officially?) were not at Taylor’s after party but instead hung out together looking like they just finished doing lines in the bathroom.

Jk, they look decent.

Justin and Hailey Bieber ditched the Grammys as they were spotted in Hawaii.

Justin does look a lot healthier and that’s because he’s doing a lot better in general. Something about tour and the industry drains the living sh!t out of him.

As I said earlier in this post, Justin is not like the Harry Styles of the world where he can put on a fake smile and do some funny dance moves for a cute viral moment. Not to say there’s anything wrong with Harry for doing that because there isn’t…

But as we can see, when you are not willing to play the game, you will be iced out. Sometimes you just gotta go to the party, send the gift basket, and be fake to get on the good side of those that can give you what you want.

A lot of you guys have been asking me to tell Justin to give back the tour money for the canceled or potentially rescheduled tour dates… um yeah … he literally has no control or say in that whatsoever. The only thing he has a say in, is the question “ARE YOU GONNA CONTINUE THE TOUR OR NO?” And they are hoping he says yes. If he says no, that’s when your money will be refunded.

Annoying, I know.

Selena Gomez also ditched the Grammys, which is not shocking. Instead, she posted with Nicola Peltz—a literal demon.

At Nicola’s core, she is a mean girl. This explains her bizarre friendship with Selena that started like what?? 3 months ago? With Selena imprinting on her relationship with Brooklyn Beckham and third wheeling everywhere?

The event where Selena was touching up all on Hailey is literally where they met and that ^

turned into this…

Oh Sel.

But she is too busy shitting on Francia Raisa on social media which is quite on-brand for Selena if you’ve ever kept up with her shenanigans.

Miley Cyrus is another one who ditched the Grammys which is interesting considering now would be the time to be showing face especially when you have a #1 hit single as a prop.

The Grammys never favored Miley either and this goes way back … with them revoking The Climb’s nomination over a decade ago.

And last but not least, Demetria Lovato who ditched the Grammys but went to the Pre-Grammy Gala and served what’s possibly one of her best looks ever.

An absolute stunner. Lately, her looks are serving the way she used to in 2017 but now with a more updated and mature rock era.

You guys have all been asking for a Demi update and honestly… she’s doing a lot better than she has been in a very long time. Jutes makes her really happy, he’s been drama free so that’s different from her past exes.

She’s also been focusing a lot on HER and what makes her internally happy, away from external factors, so that’s been great too. Honestly, she’s just laying lowkey and doing her so good for Demi. I know I’ve dragged her in the past but you can’t say I wasn’t wrong to drag.
