Taylor Swift's MEAN EMAIL to Olivia Rodrigo: How The Feud Began (EXCLUSIVE)

There has been a scandalous development!

According to my source, Taylor Swift has reportedly written Olivia Rodrigo a strongly worded and threatening email which led to their huge feud.

Get yourself situated as I spill this scorching tea.

Important Timeline:

  • May 21, 2021 — Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album “Sour” is released. It spawned 2 #1 singles and 4 top 10 hits.

    • Before the album’s release, Taylor already had a writer’s credit on 1 step forward, 3 steps back because Olivia had interpolated it. That was reportedly discussed and finalized before everything.

  • July 9, 2021 — Taylor Swift, Jack Antonoff, & St. Vincent get co-writer credits on Olivia’s Deja Vu.

    • Deja Vu peaked at #3 on Billboard in 2021.

    • Cruel Summer debuted at #29 on Billboard in 2019. Following its resurgence in 2023 after the Era’s Tour, it peaked at #1.

  • August 25, 2021 — Olivia gives writer’s credits to Paramore on Good 4 U

  • December 9, 2021 — Olivia & producer Dan Nigro hint to TIME Magazine that they got approached after the songs’ popularity.

What happened behind the scenes:

I’ve been on this Taylor & Olivia feud train since I spilled the tea in February 2022.

Excerpt from my post:

According to my source, Olivia had a rude awakening when her idol’s people came knocking on her door (figuratively not literally) and said … “uh hey! Yeah your inspiration doesn’t run in the real world. You’re gonna have to share the profits.”

My source said that the way it was described to her was as if everyone worked overtime behind the scenes and were nit-picking to find similarities between anything even if it’s 2 chords.

And honestly? Taylor is meaner than I thought.

I’ve been sitting on this information for months now and it’s time to spill.

My source said that before the release of Sour, 1 song on the album was sent for approval to Taylor’s team and that got cleared… there were no issues.

That is what we know now as 1 step forward, 3 steps back, because Olivia interpolated Taylor’s New Year’s Day.

i’d be mad too if a baddie like olivia was coming for my a**

After the album’s release, Taylor reached out to Olivia and said “hey this song sounds like this.” I believe she was talking about Deja Vu sounding like Cruel Summer.

My source then tells me that Olivia told Taylor that the song was written with St. Vincet and therefore it sounds like a St. Vincet song… not a Taylor Swift song.

Basically saying… girlie, you didn’t invent everything!

Btw, I’m not sure why St. Vincent didn’t have a writing credit before or if she did…idk!

That’s when Taylor wrote back to Olivia an email which my source described as “a strongly worded email, kind of like threatening her.”

Taylor reportedly was like “you’re not gonna make friends in the industry like this, you’ve fcked up” and basically threatening her career.

Here’s where it gets more messed up.

My source explains that Taylor basically forced Olivia’s hand for 50% of the royalties and was actually behind getting Paramore credits.

lmao taylor got time i swear

She. Was. Behind. Paramore. Getting Credits.

and honestly it seems like paramore wasn’t expecting it nor asked for it. it was more like “oh sh!t cool okay thanks”

This explains why:

  • Paramore suddenly got credits a month after Taylor did

  • Olivia’s producer said, “It seems like people get funny about things when songs become really popular.”

You can’t tell me it’s not sus that they got credits right after Taylor got hers.

As my source said, Olivia got cleared for a song before the release and usually songs do get cleared before release especially if you are actually sampling something.

This also explains why Olivia said, “It was really frustrating to see people discredit and deny my creativity.”

I believe that Olivia could have gone to court to fight the claims the way Ed Sheeran did, but she just got scared off by Taylor who made sure that a chunk of Olivia’s biggest songs, actually went to other people.

After the email drama between Taylor & Olivia, my source says that Taylor went out of her way to befriend Sabrina Carpenter and take her under her wing.

So the Sabrina & Taylor friendship is intentional and with the purpose of bothering Olivia.

Here’s the issue with Taylor:

Taylor thinks very highly of herself. She thinks she’s the most innovative creature to ever step foot in the music industry and while Taylor is a great artist and I have come to terms with this during my Taylor-Conversion-Camp that I’ve been in for months… she is very greedy.

“Did you hear my covert narcissism I disguise as altruism,” — Taylor Swift, Anti-Hero.

Taylor Conversion Camp — where Alana and I signed up to force ourselves to listen to Taylor’s music and see what the hell people are enjoying. Forceful listening is working… Lover album (which I despised) has some bops. I even gave 1989 a listen and came out with 2 new fave songs: I Know Places & Wonderland.

girlie we know

I still think that Taylor didn’t deserve credit for Deja Vu. The bridge sounds NOTHING like Cruel Summer (which I started to like thanks to the conversion camp I’m in). You can’t invent anything new in music as multiple artists who came to Olivia’s defense in 2021 said, so Taylor was looking for any place to squirm herself a credit.

And it seems like Olivia was too threatened and scared by Taylor to fight with her idol.

“It’s like greed to another level,” my source about Taylor.

Taylor even fantasizes about her future daughter-in-law killing her, thinking she’s in her will. She’s so scared anyone gets a penny from her akhdkjdskajs

“I have this dream my daughter in-law kills me for the money. She thinks I left them in the will.” — Taylor Swift, Anti-Hero.

My source explained that Taylor basically gets 150% profit from her songs because Taylor—the mastermind—tricked everyone into thinking that the masters sale was something that she was a poor little victim in.

I explained that in my deep dive on Scooter Braun:

As well as Taylor’s thirst for pop culture domination:

Not only did Taylor’s father make millions out of the sale, but as I previously exposed, The Eras concept was something always in Taylor’s head and she used the masters sale as a way to execute it and make millions of dollars on revamped work.

My source says that it’s shocking that Swifties think Taylor doesn’t make any money from her old songs when that is not true. She makes 50% profit on those songs because of her writing credits. Add that to the rerecords with her new Taylor’s Version albums and she has 150% of the profit.

Plus of course, Olivia’s biggest hits that she’s profiting off of.

Taylor could have chosen a different route:

Taylor could have taken Olivia in and mentored her—something that Olivia dreamed of, but instead, she went after her and sunk her teeth into her as Olivia sings in Vampire.

Taylor took Sabrina Carpenter and Camila Cabello under her wing because she knew that they were no threat to her. It’s Olivia who rocked Taylor to her core.

It’s Olivia who broke records set and held by Taylor for years.

And it’s Olivia who got the slap from the person she idolized.

It’s not shocking that now she has a song called The Grudge.

Olivia’s grudge with Taylor

Not only has Olivia refused to say no Vampire isn’t about Taylor, but her song The Grudge perfectly matches with their feud.

Olivia says she has no beef with Taylor, but notice how she didn’t say “I love Taylor! She’s my idol” or “She’s always inspiring.” Nah, she kept it chill and moving because at the end of the day, she doesn’t want to feud with Taylor but she can’t forgive what she did to her as she sings in The Grudge.

Most of Olivia’s songs can be attributed to a breakup, but with this new inside info + the public info of their feud, I wholeheartedly believe that The Grudge in its totality, is about Taylor.

@scandalousmedia Olivia Rodrigo has a grudge with Taylor Swift… at least that’s what her new song The Grudge seems to hint at. What do you guys think? #taylorswift #oliviarodrigo #thegrudge #cruelsummer #sour #guts #scandalousmedia #fyp #foryou #foryoupage ♬ get him back! - Olivia Rodrigo

“I have nightmares each week about that Friday in May. One phone call from you and my entire world was changed.”

Sour was released on a Friday in May and my source tells me that Taylor approached Olivia following the release of Sour.

“Trust that you betrayed, confusion that still lingers. You took everything I loved and crushed it in between your fingers.”

Olivia trusted Taylor. She was her idol and she was not shy about making that clear. She even attributed her success at first to Taylor; her guard was down completely. And then Taylor came and took everything Olivia loves—her first ever hits that she created through her own experience and then got Paramore on her ass too.

“My undying love, now I hold it like a grudge.”

“And I hear your voice every time that I think I'm not enough”

I can’t even imagine the toll of what Taylor did, took on Olivia’s mental health and artistry. To have your work reduced as being a copycat because your idol heard 0.23% similarity in your song, is next level greed.

Taylor couldn’t handle it and the funny part is that now she goes around singing Cruel Summer—the song that she paid dust to in 2019 and did not make a single. She used covid as an excuse as to why it didn’t become a single but girlie, you had time to release it and yet you released 2 horrendous songs first (Me & You Need To Calm Down).

why is this gif so smooth

And the fact that now Taylor takes such pride in Cruel Summer and has promoted the sh!t out of it with Lover on The Eras Tour is interesting. Sure it was a fan favorite but Taylor paid it dust until Oliva's Deja Vu became a hit and suddenly Taylor felt entitled to some recognition.

Reminder: Cruel Summer peaked at #29 on Billboard in 2019. Deja Vu peaked at #3. Cruel Summer just peaked at #1 with the Eras tour and movie.

“And I say I don't care, I say that I'm fine. But you know I can't let it go. I've tried, I've tried, I've tried for so long. It takes strength to forgive, but I don't feel strong.”

Olivia isn’t making it a secret that she can’t stand Taylor. Not only is this a public fact but this is something that I’ve been told by sources. She doesn’t care if people know she can’t stand her.

And the fact that Olivia didn’t go to The Eras Tour and quickly left the VMAs this year, tells me everything I need to know.

Taylor on the other hand is overcompensating by screaming Olivia’s name at the VMAs and being so supportive in public, all for the cameras. She knows that what she did to Olivia was fcked up and she might get canceled if Olivia ever exposed the whole story especially since Olivia now has her own army backing her up.

“And I fantasize about a time you're a little fucking sorry. And I try to understand why you would do this all to me.”

Taylor is not sorry. She didn’t give 1 fck in public and instead, went out of her way to parade around with the girl who Olivia was crying over in Driver’s License (Sabrina).

I know Olivia doesn’t hate Sabrina nor is she her enemy, but it would hurt anyone if the guy I loved, chose this girl over me and then my idol went around supporting her after sending me a threatening email and taking 50% of my money… girl I’d be pissed off too.

On top of that, Taylor had no mercy on a YOUNG GIRL who idolized her her entire life.

“You must be insecure, you must be so unhappy”

Taylor is insecure of losing her fame and relevancy and she has said this before.

Taylor explained it once in an interview in 2012 and then elaborated about being in her 30s and in the industry, in an interview with Jimmy Fallon, and in Miss Americana.

“And we both drew blood, but, man, those cuts were never equal”

Taylor is all about getting credit for your work and your hard-earned artistry—isn’t that what her entire speech to Scooter Braun was about?? But taking a huge chunk of Olivia’s music and then going after Paramore to get theirs… well that’s not equal as Olivia sings.

taylor is the queen of bein shady idk why she acts like she’s an innocent flower

“your flower's filled with vitriol. You built me up to watch me fall. You have everything and you still want more “

If this ain’t self explanatory…

Vitrol means cruel & bitter criticism and the fact that she said flowers filled with vitriol—it means that Taylor’s praise and compliments had a hidden agenda and this explains how she acts all nice & supportive in front of people at the VMAs, but really sends threatening emails behind the scenes.

Also, Taylor sent Olivia flowers.

You built me up to watch me fall … Taylor was all supportive in the beginning… before Olivia snatched all the records Taylor held.

Taylor literally has the world and that is not enough for her. As my source said, “It’s like greed to another level.”

“But even after all this, you're still everything to me. And I know you don't care, I guess that that's fine”

Nothing like the person who idolized your whole life, standing across from you pointing the gun at you.

This wraps up this post!

Let it be known that I’m not discrediting anything that’s rightfully Taylor’s or Paramore’s. I’m talking about Taylor’s role in everything. The mean email, going purposefully out of her way to befriend Sabrina, making sure Paramore got on Olivia’s throat as well, and just being a mean greedy woman.

She could have offered advice to Olivia but she didn’t. She wanted to engage in the same ole teenage ways and befriend Sabrina Carpenter who’s willing to do anything for a hit (remind me to talk about that later).

Let me know what you think! I hope you guys enjoyed this post and stay tuned for the rest of the schedule!
